4 Questions About Your Real Estate Career Moves That You Must Respond To Right Away

with No Comments

It's the rich and the rest when it comes to your real estate job, as you've surely heard. And it's difficult to dispute that there is some truth to it when we consider MLS data from 2021.

It really is a case of survival of the fittest when only 25% of all agents are managing roughly 75% of the transactions. In the lowest 50%, being an agent is impossible to sustain. But let's slow down, take a deep breath, and consider why we got into this industry and whether it's truly worth it before we go all nuts and start throwing new techniques at the wall.

Yes, it is correct. Now is the time to be brutally honest with yourself. Because if you're not progressing, there's no purpose in continuing to tread water. You need to ask yourself these four questions RIGHT NOW because the answers could have an impact on your real estate business.

Do You See Trends Changing Anytime Soon In The Real Estate Career?

The market is being dominated by top listing agents and well-trained teams, according to the trends. As someone who researches historical tendencies, I have to state that I don't believe that. And I believe it to be positive.

Because they deserve a superior experience, ALL of the consumers should be catered to by the top 25%. The top 25% of agents will be those that provide the finest customer service, so there will be no room for hobbyists or agents who aren't fully committed.

However, we're talking about what you think here, not my view.

Where Do You Rank Now In The Real Estate Career?

Since such agents are always aware of their standing, I don't need to inquire as to whether you are among the top 25% of agents. They are aware of the gap in their real estate careers between where they are today and where they want to be. And you, too? And you, too?

Here, it's crucial to be completely sincere with oneself and to consider only the facts. And now for a quick extra question: Why do you rank in this position?

What steps did you take to get where you are now if you're doing well? Why, if you're lagging behind? What ranked higher in your priorities?

Where Do You Want To Rank In The Real Estate Career?

And I genuinely mean...

Even if so many people claim to want to become billionaires, how willing are they to put in the necessary work? Are you, more importantly? Consider this in three steps. What place do you want to be in...

  • For a year?
  • 5-year period?
  • When your real estate career is over?

This is not an enjoyable dreaming activity. There is definitely a lot of territory between those two spots, so you should stand where you are right now and consider where you want to go from there. It's okay if you'd be content with just barely making it into the upper 25%; just be upfront about it.

Then, be very explicit about WHY you value achieving this goal. Your goals will become a lot more real when you give them purpose.

One more little-known fact, then... According to how I perceive it, in this industry, you are either rising or falling. Which direction are you going?

Where Do You Need Help Or Guidance In The Real Estate Career?

As we've already stated, a career in real estate is one where you either succeed or fail and succeeding in such a cutthroat market is an amazing accomplishment.

Here's a fun fact, then:

Nobody does amazing things by themselves.

You will require assistance, whether it comes from a personal assistant, a therapist, a life partner, or a coach. Do not question yourself, "Can I do this on my own?" when examining any aspect of your life. Yes, you probably can. That is a foolish question, and the likely response is "Yeah, you probably can." But ought you to? The question to ask is, "Can I achieve greatness on my own, or are there things I needed someone else to cover so I can focus on my HABU?"

Although I work as a professional coach helping agents reach their full potential, I don't always act as though I know everything. I have had several mentors in my life because of this. We could all use a little more perspective.

The dividing line is here.

It doesn't work if you don't really want to grow, this is something I constantly say about coaching and it applies to pretty much anything you do in your real estate profession. To fulfill your ambitions, you must have a burning desire for them and be willing to make sacrifices.

Write down your honest responses to these questions in your journal, and then ask yourself one more question.

Does it merit it?

Is it worthwhile to be courageous, make a commitment, record videos, put oneself online, hire people, fire people, and make calls every day?

If it isn't, it's okay; I hope you still manage to locate what you're looking for.
