Above all, there are three qualities that we should prioritize developing: inspiration, discipline, and focus. Reading the top real estate agent books is the best method to get all three.

You'll see that I just mentioned "books"—not periodicals, blogs, or podcasts. A real book requires dedication to read. It compels you to take your time, ponder, interact with the content more deeply, and focus entirely on the concepts. Even though you read as many summaries and SparkNotes as you like, they won't have the same impact as if you had read the book.
When was the last time you finished reading a novel? If you answer "high school," I'm going to lose it. Alternatively, I will simply feel bad for you because you are losing out on something exquisite.
I've compiled a list of six books that real estate agents should read, all of which I'm currently obsessed with, to help you get back on track.

Which novels are the greatest for readers who work as real estate agents?

I think that every real estate agent should read six books, ranging from an Elon Musk biography to a general marketing book.
You'll see that none of the items on this list have anything to do with real estate as you move through it. The greatest place to start is with these books because they include universal truths for any expert in business.

 

Book 1 On Real Estate: Elon Musk

The first item on the list is Walter Isaacson's "Elon Musk."

Elon Musk is a contentious individual. There is no denying that he is a significant figure in our world and that understanding him is worthwhile, even though everyone who is tuned into the zeitgeist has an opinion on him.

He is an extreme risk-taker who works nonstop to accomplish the impossibly difficult tasks and launches rockets into space. I've always admired his capacity to win others on to his lofty ideals. After being with him, everything else looks uninteresting, so they believe in the purpose and are prepared to push themselves until they reach burnout in order to accomplish it.

However, Musk does has a darker side. "Can we learn to take the genius, the discipline, and the vision without having to take the darkness too?" is the question posed in this book. Since, to be fair, not everyone is able to withstand his intensity level. This teaches us that he is a troublemaker. While I'm not advocating that you get "addicted" to disruption as well, you should at least be prepared to do so when called for. He is addicted to it.

Musk offers a wealth of knowledge about what to emulate and what to avoid.

Book 2 On Real Estate: Think Wrong

By Elizabeth Evitts Dickinson, Mike Burn, Greg Galle, and John Bielenberg, "Think Wrong."
It's clear from the subtitle—"How to Conquer the Status Quo and Do Work That Matters"—that this is one of the best books for real estate salespeople.
Isn't that your responsibility? You shouldn't be running those plays if every other agent is doing so and transactions are failing! You should march in the other direction while everyone else is going in the same direction, and this book will teach you how to do that.

I adore the way this book explains how our brains work against us and how, when enough individuals adopt these false beliefs, society as a whole starts to work against us. To get past the minor thoughts and onto the larger ones, you must understand what's happening and why you're thinking them. It's one of the reasons why real estate salespeople with more potential fall short.

Book 3 On Real Estate: Rockefeller's Letters To His Son

"J.D. Rockefeller's 38 Letter to His Son."
It's the best book for aspiring realtors, and you should read it before you set any real estate ambitions.
I'm not sure whether anyone has had a greater impact on corporate history. J.D. Rockefeller was raised in poverty by his con artist father, who was absent and manipulative. Despite this, he overcame his upbringing and became the richest person in American history—or at least in modern history—by following a set of values that he cultivated throughout his life.
Is there anyone more suitable to learn from? This book is an anthology of 38 deeply intimate letters written by J.D. to his son discussing his life and the lessons that shaped his character.

Although he discusses commerce and riches, the lessons here are particularly beautiful because they center more on personal character. It's evidence that you can succeed in business if your character and thinking are strong enough.
Have you ever believed that the road to wealth would be one of humility, honesty, thrift, and putting charity giving and civic involvement first? It seems as though it might have been for one of the wealthiest persons in history.

Book 4 On Real Estate: The Fourth Turning

Neil Howe and William Strauss' "The Fourth Turning"
"What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America's Next Rendezvous with Destiny" is yet another excellent subtitle.
The two factors that determine the real estate market are what I usually say. If you've been reading my posts for some time, you'll be aware of the response.
It is cycles and population. It everything boils down to those two factors, and since this book is all about cycles, you as a real estate agent ought to be forced to read it.

According to Strauss and Howe's view, there are four different 20-year cycles in the recurrence of American history every 80 years. They are the following:

  • Elevated
  • Waking
  • Dissecting
  • Crisis

Identify which one we are now in. Yes, even if you don't believe in predictions, you have to admit that the writers of this book projected that the next crisis would begin in 2008 and endure until roughly 2028 when they published it in 1997.
You should read this one immediately. I'll say it again.

Book 5 On Real Estate: As A Man Thinketh

James Allen's work "As a Man Thinketh."
Despite being published in 1903, this masterwork remains one of the best books ever written for real estate brokers. The fact that it continues to be included on lists of recommended readings shows how powerful the concepts it contains are. One of the first Western classics on the influence of mentality is this one.

Allen elaborates on the enormous effect that the biblical proverb "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" had on training him to master his thoughts and, by extension, his life.
Since your thoughts are a reflection of the environment around you, they truly are everything. You can almost certainly attain the life you desire if you can train your mind to focus on your objectives rather than on negativity and fear.

I have returned to this one again and time again throughout my life. Take a moment to read this book before your next meeting with a client or real estate listing strategy implementation to refocus your thoughts.

Al Ries and Jack Trout's book "The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing."
