3 Challenges Every Real Estate Agent Must Address To Rule Their Market

As a real estate expert, it is your responsibility to find profitable solutions to challenges.

The agents that are coming up with solutions to today's issues are crushing it.

And those who don't make the effort, well, they're struggling.

Right present, the top 50 percent of agents are earning 90 percent of all commissions. The bottom 50% is currently engaged in a struggle for the final 9%.

Who are you in this group? What group do you wish to be a part of?

In my opinion, the top-producing agents right now are those who have found out how to get through three significant challenges. Let's discuss them...

Lack Of Inventory

The absence of enough inventory continues to be one of the greatest problems experienced by both agents and customers.
Everybody is aware.

Now the question is... How are you handling it?

Increase your marketing efforts.

Are you consistently returning your calls?

Are you searching your database for listing possibilities to activate before those people start looking elsewhere?

Because I observe too many agents - and I'm not suggesting this describes you - who lament the lack of listings but don't do enough to seize the possibilities that are right in front of them.

Be truthful to yourself. Do you need to do more or are you already doing enough?

Getting Offers Accepted

There is no one "surefire" tactic that ensures your offer will be accepted given the fierce competition among buyers for every excellent home now on the market.

However, your main concern should be making sure that your bids are strong enough to at the very least get the seller to consider you.

You must go above and beyond to make your offer stand out, whether it's by speaking with the listing agent in person to learn what would appeal to the seller, providing special advantages other buyers might not consider, or "laddering up" your buyer to ensure they are getting the most for their money.

Here are some further details on the advice I just gave.

What steps do you take to support your customers' success?

Improper Positioning

I don't want to single out anyone, but agents have generally been unable to defend themselves against outside disruptors.

They've also made it possible for someone else to enter and take some of your income.

Because of this, there is a huge rush of businesses trying to enter the market, produce leads, and then sell them back to you in exchange for a sizable referral fee.

If you don't set yourself up for success, you leave yourself open to these well-funded disruptors.

Every agent needs to be asking themselves these questions right now:

What do you do to distinguish yourself?

How are you putting yourself in a position to avoid arbitrage?

How are you going to out position everyone else?

You can succeed in the market today if you have plans in place to offer specific solutions to these queries. That is the hyperlocal winning strategy.
