5 Action Items To Jumpstart Your 2022 Success

Today, I'd like to share five thoughts with you.

The only thing they have in common is that they're all things you should be doing in early 2022. Otherwise… \s… Some will assist you in standing out. Others will assist you in staying on track. And completing all five will undoubtedly get your year off to a flying start.

Let's get this party going!

 

No. 1 Action Item: Demonstrate Success

The start of a new year is the ideal moment to reflect on your achievements and share them with the world.

It's time to produce and disseminate your "evidence of success" document.

You can do this in one of two ways: a map that shows every property you helped sell, or an array of side-by-side thumbnail-type photographs of all the properties you sold.

But there's a catch... While your marketing article is about your achievements, the tone should be one of thankfulness for being able to help so many people and have such a positive impact on so many people's lives. No one will care if you come across as simply bragging about how many "deals" you closed last year. They might even be shut off. Instead, use it to express gratitude to those who trusted you to assist their families in moving on to the next chapter of their lives, and watch the ripple effect.

Find a local graphic designer or someone on Fiverr to make this piece for you if you don't have the time or ability to do it yourself or in-house.

Send it to your entire geographic farm, every member of your database, and all of your previous clients once it's finished. Then share it on social media and create a video about it.

2nd Action Item: Checklist Work

What motivates people to make to-do lists? So they don't have to think about what they need to accomplish all the time. You can concentrate more on the task at hand when you utilize a list since you won't have to waste energy remembering what you need to accomplish next.

That's why, a few years ago, I devised the Daily and Weekly "Million Dollar" checklists for agents. I placed everything I could think of on those lists that needed to be done on a daily and weekly basis in order to earn $1 million GCI.

No. 3 Action Item: Every Week, Shoot And Publish Three Videos

Every week, make "at least" three videos.

We live in a video-first marketing environment, if you haven't noticed.

Stop creating excuses and start making videos instead.

Do you lack the necessary equipment? You certainly do. Your phone is fully functional.

Not sure what to say? Here are some suggestions.

Are you afraid of being photographed? Make videos without appearing in them.

You're missing out on an incredible opportunity to interact with more people if you're not posting at least three videos per week — a mix of going live, pre-produced shows, short-form Reels or TikToks, answering questions, or anything you choose.

Make it a reality!

 

No. 4 Action Item: Make Your Calls 

If you're not making calls, whether it's prospecting, lead follow-up, circle calling, or simply checking in with your prior clients and sphere, you're not making money in this industry.

The best method to ensure that you complete your Hour of Power five times per week is to schedule it for ten times per week. Monday through Friday, set aside 9-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. for "appointment setup time." Then make certain you attend at least five of the ten scheduled sessions.

Reframe the situation if you're scared to phone because you think you're annoying folks. I'm sure you've witnessed consumers make some blunder purchases or sales. Consider it your responsibility to assist prevent that from happening again. You are a market expert with significant information to contribute that will help others maximize their possibilities.

You'll appreciate what you do more AND be more successful if you approach it from a place of service rather than a "bloodthirsty salesperson" mentality.

 

No. 5 Action Item: Try Something New

This one is a little more open-ended, but I want to push you to step outside of your comfort zone. Here it is...

In 2022, what will you do differently?

I'd like you to consider a new venture, a new marketing lead pillar, or a fresh twist in how you service your clients... Something that feels fresh and new and invigorates the way you go about your business.

I'm hoping you saw my recent announcement about all of the new shows we'll be producing in 2022. Have I ever attempted something similar before? No. Is it safe to assume they'll all be hits? Also, no. But I'm prepared to take a chance. (And I'm confident you'll enjoy all of the new information we're giving you if you're a frequent reader of this site.)

So I dare you to examine your market's real estate environment and determine what's missing. It may be a new show you create, a new lead generation tool, or another way you "surprise and please" your clients or prior clients.

Don't overthink the situation. Pick a concept and run with it. Then give it some time and revisit it in the middle of the year.
